For the fourth AuraSafe system, we’ve stopped relying on off-the-shelf enclosures.

We’re now designing and building our own node boxes in-house, because the standard “fits most” approach doesn’t hold up in real-world conditions.

Better structure. Proper sealing. Designed around how the system is actually installed, not how a generic box thinks it should be.

Factory enclosures do a job, but they’re not built for this environment. Water ingress, weak mounting points, awkward cable routing… all small issues that turn into big problems over time.

At the time, it was about proving the concept, getting a system in place that could actively support the operator and improve safety on site. Since then, every vehicle has been a step forward.

Each install has given us something to refine. Layout, behavior, integration, small changes that add up to a system that works better in the real world, not just on paper.

Now we’re starting work on the fourth system on the next Rivard, and it’s a very different position to where we began. More confidence in the product, more understanding of how it’s used, and a clearer standard of what it needs to deliver.
