Fleet Installations

Fleet Installation

We offer the commercial fleet market multiple equipment installation, removing the need to organise multiple contractors to work on your vehicles.

We’re not tied to any specific brand or application and can source from a wide range of equipment providers to ensure that we create the best system to meet your requirements.

If an off the shelf product isn’t up to the job we can design a bespoke solution removing the need to compromise.

What is a typical fleet installation?

Well, there really is no such thing!  We can be called upon to install anything in any combination! From Side Sensors and Turn Left Alarms to Microwave Ovens and Power Inverters to bespoke products and systems that we have developed to meet your specific requirements.

The number of installs we carry out at one time will depend upon the buying pattern of the customer.  It could be anything from vehicle a quarter or two hundred vehicles spread over two years. The common theme is that the process and equipment we use will be the same for each vehicle within the fleet.

What we offer

Commitment to understanding your expectations

You would think that this is blindingly obvious but take our word for it when we say it really happens. Too many installers are just opening a box and following the instructions by rote. Fir Tree are successful because we take the time to understand the goals of the business and to work out what technology will best deliver those goals, in the most cost effective and efficient way.

Consistency

Your new vehicle will literally be taken apart in order to install the required equipment. It is vital that it is put together again properly!  There cannot be any missing pieces of the puzzle or anything left over at the end.  Even slight variations in the products used and the process of the install can cause complications further down the line.

Consistency will be the biggest challenge that you face if you are sub-contracting your fleet installations.  At Fir Tree our unique pre-preparation is designed to limit the amount of variation and to overcome this issue.

Flexibility to cope with uncertainty

It’s a familiar scenario. You order your new vehicles 12 months in advance, the equipment installs are booked with multiple contractors to get the kit fitted. Everything is good to go.  Until – the call from the dealership to advise that the build date has just moved forward by another 8 weeks. You call the installer to rebook the install.  No problem they say but there will be a charge, the work was scheduled.

Wouldn’t it be “refreshingly” different to work with a specialist partner that responded with a, “No problem, let’s reschedule, stuff happens”?  Choose to work with Fir Tree and that exactly what you will experience.

Plug and Play

The pre-preparation process at Fir Tree enables us to pre-assemble the equipment that is going to be installed in your fleet.  The aim is to create a unit that can be simply “plugged” in by the driver or dealership as this will reduce VOR times. If something fails or breaks we can often send over a plug and play replacement part.

How do you minimise the Whole Life Costs of your fleet?

Quite simply work with an installation partner who knows what they are doing, one that doesn’t cut corners and will not leave you in the lurch if a problem should arise.

Guess you had better call Fir Tree Technology…

Why Fir Tree?

We used to say that we were a ‘one stop shop’ but actually that lacklustre old cliché does us a disservice!

We offer the commercial fleet market multiple equipment installation, removing the need to organise multiple contractors to work on your vehicles. (We all know what a logistical and coordination nightmare that is!)

As Fir Tree is not tied to any specific brand or application we can source from a wide range of equipment providers to ensure that we can create the best system to meet the requirements of your business. If an off the shelf product isn’t up to the job we can design a bespoke solution removing the need to compromise.

By using a team that has experience in all different makes of equipment and types of vehicle technology, you will save time, money and hassle.

When our engineers have completed an installation on a brand new vehicle it is difficult to see that any work has actually been carried out!

Since 2009 we have been working as the sole installation service for the largest, privately owned commercial fleet in the UK.  They have used Fir Tree for the last 9 years because they like our approach and the way we do stuff.

You should know…

When it comes to the installation of vehicle safety equipment it is important to adopt a real world approach.

We’re dealing with electronics, things will go wrong. Drivers break stuff, something goes amiss with the vehicle. When we get your call we will have no idea what has happened but one thing is for certain – we will deal with it. Wherever the vehicle is located in the country we will sort it out, our priority is to get you moving as soon as possible.

Our team accept that sometimes the equipment we have installed has failed due to the actions of a third party but that doesn’t stop us providing a level of aftersales service that you can trust. Laying blame is not the focus, fixing the problem is – every time.

We work to fixed prices and the prices we quote for installation allow for some contingency in the event of an equipment failure when the vehicle is out in the field.

You might feel that you are paying a premium price for installation. We ask that you consider the Whole Life Costs of the vehicle.

You have our guarantee that Fir Tree will be on hand to resolve any problems, without quibble. The quality of our work will never be the source of problems when it comes to servicing and maintenance.
