360° Onboard Multi-Camera Systems

Manufactured In-House for Quality and Control

Unlike generic imported systems, all our camera kits are designed and manufactured in-house. This allows us to:

  • Custom-build housings and brackets to suit each vehicle

  • Maintain consistent quality across every product

  • Adapt quickly to customer requirements or vehicle changes

By controlling every step of production, we ensure a neater install, longer-lasting components, and full compatibility with your fleet.

Plug and Play – Built for Easy, Reliable Installations

Our systems are supplied as Plug and Play kits, meaning all wiring, connections, and components are pre-configured before leaving our workshop.

  • Pre-determined leads and labelled connections

  • Reduced install time and labour costs

  • Consistent fitment across your entire fleet

  • Easier servicing and troubleshooting later on

This approach gives you a factory-fit feel with the flexibility of an aftermarket solution—delivered faster and fitted right the first time.

Flexible Camera Systems – Built Around Your Fleet Needs

Our modular camera systems let you choose exactly what you need — from 2 to 5 cameras, with full flexibility on types and placement. Start with a basic setup and easily upgrade later by adding extra cameras, without replacing the whole system. Built to suit your fleet now and grow with you over time.

Our Camera Product Range

Generic High Rise

Typically Fitted on Artic Vehicles.

This is why we created the generic high-rise camera—to allow for elevated positioning that avoids common damage from shrubbery, close-passing vehicles, and high-pressure cleaning.

Mounting cameras higher not only protects the equipment but also gives a clearer, wider field of view, improving overall visibility and system reliability.

Paddle High Rise

Typically Fitted on to Rigid and Box Vehicles.

The Padel High Rise is up high due to the same reasons as the Generic.

However, on rigid vehicles where the body extends beyond the width of the cab, a standard high-mount camera may not provide a clear side view. That’s why we developed the Padel version—its extended arm allows the camera to stick out further, giving a proper viewing angle past the vehicle body for full nearside coverage and improved safety.

Forward Facing

We designed our forward-facing camera to mount at the top of the cab, just behind the windscreen. This elevated position provides a wider angle and improved visibility, especially close to the front of the vehicle.

Importantly, the camera is not stuck to the windscreen, so it doesn’t need to be removed or replaced during windscreen replacements—saving time, cost, and hassle for your fleet.

Driver Facing

Our driver-facing camera is designed to support fleet safety, training, and incident investigation. Installed neatly inside the cab, it captures a clear view of the driver and their immediate environment without being intrusive.

It helps promote responsible driving, provides useful footage for insurance or incident reviews, and can be used as part of a wider driver training or wellbeing program.

Rear Camera

Our rear camera is typically mounted at the back of the Vehicle or Trailer to provide a clear view when reversing or record incidents behind. But it does more than that.

We also install rear-facing cameras behind the cab to monitor Suzie connectors and load areas, giving drivers and fleet managers better visibility of critical connection points and cargo conditions.

Whether it’s for safer manoeuvring or keeping an eye on the vehicle’s rear setup, our rear camera delivers reliable footage where it matters most.

But Remember...

Yes, we have our trusted Standard Camera Range, but that doesn’t mean it’s the only option.
If you need a specific camera type or mounting solution to achieve a particular view or overcome a unique challenge, we can design and manufacture it to suit.
That’s the benefit of in-house production — if it doesn’t exist yet, we’ll create it.

DVS24 - Progressive Safe System Kits

To meet the latest Direct Vision Standard (DVS) 2024 requirements, vehicle safety systems must do more than just show a view—they must actively detect pedestrians and vulnerable road users. That’s where our AI-integrated camera systems come in.

Rather than relying solely on radar or basic sensors, our solution uses artificial intelligence to identify people entering blind spots, especially on the nearside of the vehicle. This allows your drivers to be proactively alerted to potential hazards before making a manoeuvre.

FAQs

Can I choose which cameras are included?
Yes – you can choose the type and location of each camera. Our systems are fully customisable to suit your vehicle and operational needs.
Can I upgrade my camera system later?
Absolutely. If you start with a 2-camera system, you can add more later. You’ll only pay for the extra cameras and fitting, as the core system is already in place.
What types of cameras can I choose from?
We offer rear, side, front-facing, and internal cab cameras. You can mix and match to meet DVS compliance, improve safety, or support your operational needs.
Do I need to replace the whole system to upgrade?
No – our systems are designed to be modular. Adding a new camera doesn’t require replacing the system, just expanding it.
Can this system be integrated with my current camera system?
Potentially. We will need to do a survey of your vehicles to understand the current kit, and we can then assess whether we can adapt our system to be integrated.
How do I download my recorded footage?
By using our Remote Access platform, or by physically removing the hard drive and connecting it to your PC.
How long does the system hold recordings for?
All systems come with at least 1TB of storage, typically giving you 3–4 weeks of footage depending on usage. For 5-camera setups, we recommend upgrading to 2TB, which you can request from us.
How long does the installation take?
Installation times vary depending on the vehicle and the specific kit being fitted. On average, our installs take between 3 to 6 hours.
What is the lead time from order to installation?
Lead times depend on demand, but we typically aim for a 2–3 week turnaround. We do our best to fill any cancelled slots, though we understand it can be challenging to schedule vehicles that are frequently in use.
Do you offer weekend installations?
Yes, we do work weekends. However, demand for weekend slots is high across the industry. Where possible, we recommend making vehicles available during the week, as this will usually result in a quicker installation date.
Does Fir Tree offer anything beyond camera systems?
Yes! We also supply and install a wide range of vehicle accessories including trackers, lightbars, strobes, Anderson leads, inverters, and much more. If there’s something specific you need — just ask!
